How it Works

Policy Control

iNetSec Inspection Center® helps IT administrators to reduce the workload of implementing key Policy Controls.

Windows Security Patch Application

Microsoft releases security patches every month which contain critical security updates. IT administrators need to check endpoints to confirm that such critical security patches are installed – an involved task, even for a company of 50.

Instead of requiring staff to take on the burden, iNetSec Inspection Center automatically implements changes by offering:

  • Security patch installation check. – IT administrators can enforce security policies with regards to security patch installation automatically to all endpoints.
  • Inspection Dictionary – Windows security patch information is delivered by PFU as part of the inspection dictionary, and iNetSec® then imports the inspection dictionary automatically. IT administrators simply select the patches to enforce.
  • Automatic Security Policy Update – iNetSec automatically enforces installation of newly released security patches from pre-selected categories.

MacOS Security Patch Application

iNetSec has the capability to check security patch installations on Mac devices ensuring all computers are compliant with corporate security policies.

Anti-virus Software Installation

Anti-virus software is a very common security measure, but anti-virus software does not always work properly if the scan engine and pattern file aren’t constantly updated.

iNetSec can check update statuses on Symantec, Trend Micro, McAfee and F-secure products by supplying an inspection dictionary, which contains the latest anti-virus scan engine and pattern file versions and automatically checks the update status on endpoints.

iNetSec can also supports anti-virus software by checking whether the required anti-virus software is installed or not.

Additionaly, iNetSec can also check “Real time protection” settings which enables endpoints to scan for viruses on all files being opened.

Microsoft Office Security Patch installation

Microsoft Office security patches are also an important factor to corporate security policy.

The inspection dictionary enables IT administrators to check Microsoft Office security patch installation on endpoints and also provides the steps necessary to ensure the issues are resolved.

Required Software Installation

iNetSec has the ability to check for the install of required security software. Once an IT administrator has specified the file, iNetSec will check to determine whether that required software is installed or not.

Prohibited Software Installation

iNetSec features "Prohibited Software installation,” detection, designed to detect software which should not be on the network, isolate it and recommend a recourse.

Firewall Software Settings

iNetSec helps IT administrators to detect computers which do not have the appropriate firewall products installed and enabled, isolating the unsecured computers and allowing for repairs.
