


Serving as President and Chief Executive Officer at PFU Systems, Inc., Kyou Katoh brings more than 35 years of experience in the development and management of network software and computer operating systems in Japan. As CEO of PFU’s North American subsidiary, Kyou’s mission is to cultivate and develop new business opportunities in the United States leading PFU’s business growth and strategic leap into cloud development.
Kyou started his career as a network engineer and most recently managed all-in-one network security appliance products and planned cloud business tactics at PFU.
Kyou earned his bachelor’s in mathematical engineering and information physics at University of Tokyo.


Dale Pierce is CFO / COO of PFU Systems, Inc. He is responsible for the company’s financial and operational efforts, as well as the day to day management at PFU’s Minnesota facility. Dale has more than 30 years in financial, operations and engineering management experience in the embedded, semiconductor, manufacturing and HVAC systems industries. Dale has been with PFU since 2000.
Dale's management experience includes positions as Director of Operations for Rupp Industries, R & D Engineering Manager for Norlake, Inc. and VP of Product Development for Desert Technologies Inc. (Mesa, AZ.) Dale holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University (Ames, IA).


Yasuhiko Nagaoka is the Senior Vice President of Research and Engineering. He is responsible for developing the software products and solutions for the North American market as well as researching the advanced technology, prototyping and technical strategy. Yasu has more than 17 years of experience in managing both engineering and marketing teams in the high tech industry including the imaging solution, the device interfaces and the web based application at both large corporations and small start-ups. He joined PFU Systems in October 2007 as Director of New Business Development.
Yasu started his career at IBM Japan as a software engineer and gained management experience as senior Marketing Manager for Adaptec, Inc., Director of Product Development for Fujifilm Software California, Inc. and Vice President of Business Development for Blue Lava Technologies, Inc.
Yasu holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics/Business Administration from Seijo University and Masters degree in Computer Science from University of Missouri-Columbia.


As vice president of business development for PFU Systems, Inc., Hiroji is responsible for marketing and business development for the company. Hiroji has worked more than 25 years in the high tech industry and applies his vast experience and polished executive skill set across the business development, marketing and branding efforts for PFU.
Prior to joining PFU in 2009, Hiroji served as the vice president of business development at Fujitsu America, Inc. where he led international deals and managed the investment of KnowledgeLake. Hiroji honed his talents in brand management in his role as director of the corporate brand office for Fujitsu Ltd. where he established best practices for the company’s Internet marketing. He also managed development of web content management and content consolidation for entire Fujitsu group in more than 35 countries.
Hiroji earned his M.B.A. from St. Mary’s College and a Bachelor of Science in organic chemistry from Sophia University.
